Survey Preview

Before launching your survey, test it out in preview mode to make sure it looks the way you want. We suggest reviewing your entire survey to check spelling and functionality. Preview allows you to test the survey as if you were a survey participant.

Survey Preview

In the manage surveys page, select the magnifying glass icon to preview your survey.
Check that all question types are displaying as expected and any features (e.g. required questions) are functioning properly.
If your survey is designed with demographic filters (e.g. tenure), you can check this logic by applying those filters from the right sidebar. Only the demographic items you’ve applied to your survey will display in the filters. Sidebar filters and options only apply while in preview mode and are not displayed in your live survey.

To fully experience what the survey looks like when live, you can answer questions in preview mode. Responses entered in preview mode are not saved and do not impact reports.

If your survey is translated into a foreign language, you have the option to view your survey in the translated language(s). The language dropdown is available to all participants in your live survey.

Survey Test Email

Send your survey to someone that does not have platform access for them to preview and test. Anyone using the test survey link can answer questions without responses saving to reports. These people can also reply to their email with any feedback they have or changes they would like to see made within the survey.
Select send test mail from the preview sidebar and enter in the email address for those that should receive a preview survey link. Tailor the email message to include the survey title and ask for feedback. Hit send to deliver the survey test email.
This testing option is only available in survey preview mode.
You can also download your survey to a PDF to save and/or send to others within your organization without using the survey test email. The PDF does include an option for filling in your name, this does not show up in the online version of the survey. If you need to print the survey to have participants complete on paper, their name should be included so that someone knows who to enter data for within the system so the data from paper surveys can be put into reporting.

Collecting survey responses via paper surveys is not recommended and can't be bulk imported back into the platform to have available in reporting.
