You can spend less time managing your participant table and more time acting on your data when you configure your HRIS to automatically send employee data to People Element.
This is especially helpful if you are running Always On surveys (e.g., Exit, New Hire, Onboarding) and want to assign participants to surveys shortly after an event change. Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) provides a high level of security for sending files to People Element.
How to Start
To get started with your SFTP census file automation, reach out to your People Element contact to request credentials. Credentials will be created and emailed to you within 2 business days from initial request.
You may need to provide these credentials to your IT, Systems Analyst, HRIS, or any other team who is responsible for setting up an automatic census file push from your HRIS.
Next Steps
Once connection is made, our platform will automatically look for your files daily to upload into the system. Files dropped or modified since the last pickup will be imported into the People Element Platform. We recommend lists are pushed from your HRIS on a set cadence (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). Review this article for full details on census file requirements to ensure imports are successful.
Security
The data collection SFTP server is an Azure VM that receives unencrypted data from the remote systems using either SFTP with minimum AES128 bit keys, or FTPS protected by SSL/TLS connections with RSA2048 keys. Automated IP blocking prevents abuse of connection. Data at rest is encrypted using SSE with PMK Encryption, Server-side encryption (SSE) to protect your data and to help you meet your organizational security and compliance commitments. Data in Azure managed disks is encrypted transparently using 256-bit AES encryption.
All census files are removed from your SFTP folder after 30 days.
