Manager 360 Subject & Rater Automation

Adding manager IDs within the participants table can help automate the subject and rater assigning process if you 1) plan to run a survey with many managers as subjects or 2) plan to only use the self, supervisor, and direct report rater relationships already created for you.

If you plan to add more relationship groups, you may find it easier to forgo adding manager IDs in your 360 survey setup process.

To utilize this automation, you will need to have the manager ID included as a demographic in your census file import. This manager ID needs to be in the Manager ID column already created for you within the participants table and should match the manager’s ID as shown in the Employee ID column.
The platform will use that information to automatically identify who is a manager and who is a non-manager. For more information on how to create participants and edit demographic information, refer to the manage participants overview article.

Manager IDs must be updated prior to assigning subjects and can't be changed once subjects are assigned to your survey. Changes made to manager IDs will apply to future 360 surveys.

Subject Automation

Now that your subjects and raters are in the participants table with their managers ID attached, you can assign the appropriate employees as subjects. To access the manager 360 setup, go to the PEOPLE tab, select manage participants, and select more options (three vertical dots) in the top right of the screen. Within that dropdown, select set up manager 360.
Select the survey you wish to set up with subjects. You will be taken to a list of all participants available from your manage participants table. By selecting the show only managers toggle, you can filter your list to show only those that were assigned the manager role based on the manager IDs from the last step.
Select the managers you want as subjects and hit save then done.

Rater Automation

After processing has completed, you will be taken to the raters tab. Here you will find the platform has auto assigned raters as direct reports, supervisors and self. Self-relationships are unable to be deleted or edited. To delete or edit a rater, click the trashcan icon or settings wheel, respectively.
