Copy a Survey

Once a survey is created, you can copy that survey to use year over year. For example, build an engagement survey once, then copy it for next year. This allows you to save time and keep surveys consistent for historical comparisons.

Surveys can be copied and created from another survey easily. To do so, go to manage surveys and select the paper icon of the survey you want to copy. Your new survey will be created with "Copy_0_" at the beginning of the survey name.

What information is transferred when copying a survey?

  • Survey Design: Your survey name and template type will copy over. The survey name will include "Copy_0_" at the beginning to differentiate from the original survey.
  • Survey Categories: All categories and the order of the categories will copy over.
  • Survey Questions: All survey questions and order of questions will copy over.
  • Question Settings: Settings such as demographic filters, required question and exclude from dashboard designations

What information is not transferred when copying a survey?

  • Assigned Participants: Participations assigned to the original survey will not be automatically assigned to the copied survey. You will need to assign your employees to the new survey.
  • Survey Settings: All options in the settings page will default and not copy over from the original survey. These will need to be updated for the new surveys specifications.
