There are a few demographics that will automatically be created if your census file import includes birth date, hire date, and term date.
The platform automatically calculates and organizes employees into groups based on their birth, hire, or term dates, offering a variety of demographic options without requiring any extra effort on your part. If these demographics are included in your census file, People Element will automatically calculate Age, Tenure, and Generation for you to use within reporting.
Age Groupings
The calculation used is (term date - birth date) / 365. If there is no term date for the employee, the calculation is (date of import - birth date) / 365.
Generation
This grouping is based on birth date.
Tenure Groupings
The calculation used is based on hire and term dates. For current employees, that calculation is (date of import - hire date) / 365. For exiting employees, the calculation is (term date - hire date) / 365.
